I have been disproved. I now believe.

What an odd purchase tho. I would have thought Orcon would have purchased them, they've been doing a lot of acquisitions lately.

What next? Will Woosh phase out one brand, or keep both running?

Hi Matthew Potts,

I'm writing to let you know some important breaking news. Quicksilver has been sold to Woosh Wireless Limited.

The Quicksilver services will continue as they do today, and this new partnership with Woosh means we can broaden the range of services that we offer you.

Woosh is one of the most progressive wireless organisations in the world having developed a portable low cost, high quality Voice over Internet (VoIP) service and bundled this together with a high quality broadband internet service.

The team at Quicksilver would like to thank you for your loyalty and support over the last 7 years and we look forward to continue working for you.

You will be kept well informed of any changes that emerge from the union of Woosh and Quicksilver and we look forward to offering you exciting and innovative new products and services in the near future.

Once again thank you for your continued support.

Regards

Matthew Hobbs
CEO, Quicksilver Internet

Hi guys

damn I should listen to everyones conversation from now on.....maybe I will get rich...To be honest I thought it was crap at first too....I mean Woosh and quicksilver..Oh well. WiMax bring it on. Woosh I have heard is going to get into WiMax but only after more larger companies around the world have fixed the bugs. Remember there are no wireless broadband companies anywhere in the world that are doing well so far.

You were doing well until you said that.
There are a large number of Wireless ISP's globally that would happily disagree with your assertation.

Stick to shopping in Newmarket and listening for market gossip.

What the hell is this fascination with reducing to 'dialup' speed every isp in nz seems to have these days... If i wanted a dialup connection i'd buy a dialup connection..... at 1/10th the price!

If I had a dollar for every thread you decided to say that you don't give a fuck about it I'd be rich. If you don't care, don't look at the thread and don't post, it's pretty simple really.
