Please help!
Trouble starting vanilla quake. I run XP and have installed quake off the original CD. But when I try to run it, a few start up screens flick by and it ends up back at my desktop and not at the game screen. I am a bit retarded with computers so any help will be greatfully received thanks dudes.

Why would you want to play VQ?
[edit - to be a bit helpful there was a problem with the real quake cd and XP.. I think. Do a search on the forums.] |

Update to version 1.08.
Then grab your choice of winquake (software gfx) or glquake from www.planetquake.com/proquake this should resolve any incompatability issues you have with xp/nt |
