It's definitely getting easier, the first session I had I was all tense but now I'm just chilling out, I was a few seconds from dozing off during last session!

Going in at 3pm to finish it off, or at least get it very close! :D

The design itself is done, but the free space won't be free for very long. :)

Still got some healing to do, the blue is more of an aqua tone in real life but I love it and I absolutely love the blue accents on the rose lips to bring the colour down a bit. Never thought I'd be rocking pink, but so happy I didn't sway away from the colours I wanted.

Now to start saving for the next installment :D

Here's a tat I drew for my flatmate earlier this year:

Don't have any decent finished pics but looks good.
He got it outlined in a UV reactive red and orange aswell.
He says the Phoenix symbolises rising above the flames, or shit in your life that happens and don't let yourself get burned.

A work colleague went to Ink & Iron in town yesterday to get some line work done on a Samoan themed tattoo. He isn't happy with the lines, as they're fairly uneven in places, and the spacing isn't that great. We're not sure if the guy has done the work this way in the knowledge that it will be shaded in later, or if he's just useless.

Has anyone here used them before?

I've had recommendations for both Sacred Tattoo (Erin), and Illicit Tattoo (Liesje), and my colleague is going there for second and third opinions on the work so far.

Both myself and my gf have been thinking about going to Ink & Iron as well, but this has obviously put us off big time :S

I know some people don't like working on other people's unfinished tattoos, but are happy to do cover-ups.

But *anyone* at Sacred Tattoo is pretty amazing. The other half has a tattoo from Hamish at Sacred and the lines are clean as all hell. Maybe your mate could see him about it? His lines are seriously crazy clean and crisp.

Well he's just come back from getting a couple of second opinions, and they reckon it isn't as bad as we thought. There is still significant shading to go on the work, and that should cover up the vast majority of any small errors.

I've checked out some of the work by both Illicit (now called "The Tattood Heart") and Sacred, and there is some amazing work in their galleries. Might well end up going there anyway!

got a sholder tat which had stuff what i wanted in it, done in a style that suits me. pretty happy with the end result. shit camera is shit.

Can anyone recommend somewhere near Auckland central to get a simple tattoo done. Just some text about the size of a $20 note.. and maybe a dragon riding a dagger fighting an anchor.

It's taken some time, but adding a foxywoxy to my tattoo above, to make it into a 3/4 sleeve.

Most of it will be inside my bicep and most likely in the ditch as well. Fun times ahead! D:

This is just after my first wash, taking off the blood and plasma.

About just over 1/3rd done, line work done and shading started. Ditch and elbow are indeed sore but I found the inner bicep is just BRUTAL for me!

Crappy hipster photo but I only had myself to take pics, this is after the first clean - just got the fox to colour in now! So happy with it.

Elbow coloured was way worse than just linework, but everything else was much better. Some parts felt pretty nice actually, which was weird.
