Yep same guy. He's booked out 3 months in advance now, and Michelle (?) the lady there is booked out 2.5 months in advance. They just got a 3rd full-timer started there to help cover the work they're getting.

So they must be doing something right if they're booked out that far in advance

I'm booked for May 5

Because I opted for a tramp-stamp Ken's going to mess with it so it's more balanced, laterally, but the design will remain the same as my earlier post. I might even it up myself and send the new version to him, just to make sure it gives me the happy (it's not like I'll be changing it once it's on). He's also going to fix something that's annoyed me about my shoulder tattoo (tattooist changed the eye from my original design), and reline some of it, so that rocks too.

I'm not sure what straight edge means or why you'd get it tattooed it on you. It's lovely and reminds me of flowers tho

but is it meant to be ironic that the words 'straight edge' are curved?

Tattoo's are always a personal thing though so won't get into it.

It's based on my favourite motif (manaia), my favourite shape (triangle), and represents (in the most basic way) my three dead grandparents. The form is based *very* loosely on a celtic knot type I like:

Yeah, I think tattoos are like non-existent eyebrows, permanent eyeliner and lipliner tattoos, and hairplugs. They look great for a while, and then just look incongruous. That's okay. I've chosen my inky bits carefully, so I can hide them if I want to without hassle

just gave the go ahead on the design of my lastest tatt. Will post a pic as soon as I find a digi cam to take a pic of it.
In a nutshell right arm full sleeve, "jap style". serpentine taniwha with native flora background. full colour. not getting inked until July, so will post pics as it gets done.
Really wanted something that reflected NZ, but in a style I love. I feel this is by far the coolest design I have ever seen, should be awesome.

Wrapped with thorns and poppies, the fill will be that japanese/americana water type stuff, in red.
Colour yet to come, average photo will update when I get round to getting it complete.
