Clearly you haven't read the other 3 trilogies.
Anyone who's read all 3 will know exactly what part I'm talking about when I say I broke down into tears at one point in the 3rd trilogy....... |

Local (half decent) independant bookstore says they can get hardcover now, but paperback not due until 2008.
No large format paperback on amazon.com or amazon.co.uk that I can see either. =( |

I queried Dymocks (LQ) and they reckon this week for the TPB, $29.99. Had a look at lunchtime, not today but I'll walk to work via Borders this week and let y'all know

dammit
I've lagged behind in my reading queue but I'm afraid this one may be a queue jumper... I haven't had a good depressing read in a least 3 months! |

It wont be depressing if you haven't read the first series.

Yup, just picked up mine from Dymocks Lambton Quay. Borders and Whitcoulls don't seem to have it yet.

I don't think so, I asked about it in a Whitcoulls on Cuba Mall and a couple of the stores had the book in stock and on the shelves yesterday.
Admittedly, most were in Auckland (and Blenheim!), so it's possible they did too

Intriguing - went and picked up my copy today, and apparently there was a sale embargo on it until today, so perhaps Dymocks did break the rules...
