Candidate: Labour
Party: Greens

I'm hoping for a Labour/Greens government. Unless you live in the Coromandel don't bother giving your candidate vote to the Greens as it will probably be wasted. But don't be scared of giving them your party vote.

Those of you labelling the Greens as dirty hippies have you even read their policies? Over the last two elections their policies have become a lot more moderate.

I've also seen a lot of posts about Greens and Anti-GE. They're NOT anti-ge they just want to keep it in the lab (http://www.greens.org.nz/election2005/GEorganics.asp).

I'm in the top tax bracket and think tax cuts are a stupid idea. Seriously another few dollars a week isn't going to make any difference.

Sure it's a stupid idea if that money taken from us is for good reason. I tend to think it's stupid to pay for so much rubbish (homeopathy for pets for example). What is the harm in cutting money wasting debacles and giving some back to the people? You want to throw your money away? Must be nice to have that luxury. I could do with an extra hundy a month.

Come on, surely you're not fooled by the few extreme examples used to try and win favour amongst the gullible public?

Dude. Come on.

I'm the last person to ever try and convince anyone that ACT is a "good" party... but they aren't all fucktards like Don Awatere Huata Corleone.

And you're saying this won't happen under National, and that Labour wanted this sort of stupid shit to happen?

I think you're sorely mistaken. The same shit will happen under National, except it will be worse because it will push the country further into debt.

Labour is looking increasingly good going into this election. I dislike helen but I'm impartial enough to admit she is a capable leader.

I hate to admit it but she has probably bought my vote with the no interest on student loans. For me to vote National I think they would have to cut the top tax rate to at least 33 cents (maybe 30.. spooge). I don't really see this happening.

Why bother voting for Act? Even if they *do* get into Parliament next election (unlikely) they're not going to have any political clout whatsoever. Wasted vote really.

So sayeth the man that does not understand the unusually large political clout wielded by small parties under MMP.

Id vote the National Front party before i vote National...

Realistically, Labour. They have done so much for this country (good and Bad).

They sent the war vets over to Italy where they fought so hard and long in WW2. (my granddad as one of them)
National would just have Brash come along, shake their hand and say "cheers", and keep that cash to put on a corporate ball.

I cant be bothered typing that much, so, as ugly as Helen Clark is, I love what she actually stands for. We couldn't ask for better.

no vote is a wasted vote. its better to vote for who you believe is the best for you/your country. than give it to someone you dont fully support. 1 person can make a difference....

LOLZZZ

anyway Im a labour supporter. Im doing fine under there reing currently. and i think helen has balls

How do you know that Labour hasn't got us more foreign investors? What will National do to increase investment? selling any national assets we have left to overseas?

I live in Mt Albert which is Clarks area, which means there is very little advertising and the signs you do see are for Party vote not Candidate.

But as for party - most likely will go Labour as I like free health care, and most likely any tax cut any one is going to give is going to be $10 a week at the most - for most earners that means sfa.

Might Vote Greens, but maybe I will just use a Magic 8 Ball

I love the fact that so many people hear "Tax Cut!!!" in an election year and think "So what? $10/week isn't going to buy my vote".

I also love that so many of you are saying you want this and that party to be in power for so many different reasons, showing people here are really paying attention to what each party is claiming it will achieve. It makes a nice change from the "I'll vote Party X because of -=preconceived notion about party that isn't right at all=-" - or the reverse, "I wouldn't vote for Greens because they're all a bunch of pot smoking hippies". No they're not Mr Co-Worker, but thanks for letting me know all that anti-Green's propoganda did manage to fool someone.

But the Greens are a bunch of pot smoking hippies who can't tell their DDT from their di-hydrogen monoxide.

...and they are getting my party vote.

Which is worse $10 not buying your vote, or $10 buying your vote. At the end of the day you will use the information (correct and incorrect) to choose. And if money is important then go that way, if it isn't don't.

Personally I won't be voting for any party that thinks goverment assets should be sold, because I can imagine a FOR SALE sign out side my work.
