Amazing Experiences
Yesterday I went diving for the first time, well snorkling...
It was amazing, we went around the rocks in Breaker Bay and even though I was kind of scared that sharks would eat me I went anyway. It pretty much has opened a whole new world of recreation for me, and now I'm going to go as often as I can. I don't think I saw any nasties in the water but if I did I would of not been to scared as I was carrying a 30cm knife in my hand. Highlights: Being able to see very clearly up to 8m visibility underwater. Looking at all the fishes and big crabs Lowlights: Tasting seawater through my snorkel when the wave went into my snorkel. Trying to talk underwater and failing. Getting my hand cut to pieces on the barnacle covered rocks. I just thought i'd share my amazing experience to see if anybody else has amazing experiences |

I had an amazing experience last night. I was watching television, and something compelled me to look around the room. As I looked around the room i noticed something weird about the corner of the new leather couch. I got up from my seated position, walked over to study the corner of the couch more closely. My eyes were about a foot away when I realised that the cat had been using the corner of the new couch as a scratching post. Then I shrugged, scratched my arse, and sat back down to watch television again.

The easiest way to get a crayfish is to grab them by the back. Can be hard if they are stuck in some hole in the rock. My solution; Grab the bastard by his feller thingies(as close to his head as u can, WEAR GLOVES) and pull the bastard out Remember to chuck back the mummy ones. |

Living with the mozzies, and the centipedes, and the cockroaches. But we got to visit the local colleges and made great friends with all of the students. Played games against them: touch, volleyball, basketball, went to their school social. Spent Easter Sunday at the local church, listening to their powerful voices and feasting as invited guests each night. Man when the cook islanders put on a feed they do an awesome job. Each night of the 12 we were there a different group turned up to the hall with so much food, which made us feel so welcome. great learning experience |

Okay, here we go.
I was walking late one night, or early one morning to be precise, as I often do. It's very peaceful. I saw this pinpoint of light and watched as it rapidly grew larger until became this huge haze of white light. I stood there, basking in it's glow and thought "Oh my god IT'S THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST!" Then I realised it was a car coming towards me, so I got off the road. *fart* |

a few years back (i was form2 i think, maybe 3) me & my dad & my sister used to go to the clutha river every day after school. went snorkelling, that was excellent... getting real deep etc.
dad has a whole lot of diving gear (tanks etc), & i just asked him if he could take me diving. he says the gear would need to be checked before he used it again (hasn't been used in about 5 years)... but we could go to the local swimming pool for a wee go. i've been diving in the pool before, years ago.... i remember it took a bit to get used to being able to breath under water. |
