Gyrotech anygood?
I have gone to the Gyrotech website and they have some pretty good prices.
Has anyone here had dealings with them before? Would you reccomend them? Thanks. |

Yeh I had a bit of a hassle with them a while back, they ended up dicking me around for a while before I finally managed to cancel my order and go elsewhere.
Gyrotech = zero customer service |

hey
Well im the owner of Gyrotech..so would be good to know who it is that cancelled on us..and tell our side of the story..it wouldnt be hard to track down as we have only had about 4 cancellations in 9months of operating. Usually because the stock is no longer available and customer dont want to wait.. Our prices are way out of date as we have been flat out with orders and considering were only a small business when ur turnover triples basically overnight you can get a bit snowed under.. We all buy from the same suppliers..just need to keep our prices more up to date :P |

Gyrotech Have just been trying to deal with Gyrotech (Monkeytech) for the last week. I purchased some ram off them because they were the cheapest and they had a shop in town. The ram ended up being faulty and getting a replacement turned out to be a big mission!!! Ordered the replacement on Monday, they said they would have it on Tuesday and they would give me a call. They didn't call me and so I finally contacted them to be told it would be there on Wednesday morning, they said they would give me a call. They didn't call me, so I called them to which they said it would be in in the afternoon - they would call me. But they didn't call me, so I called them and was told the same thing but for Thursday morning. Ok come Thursday afternoon - once again they dont call me and I call them - still not there, I ask them what is going on? I convince them they should call their supplier and found out where it is and call me back. Friday (today) noon I call them, they tell me they know nothing about calling a supplier and cannot tell me what is going on. I ask for the manager to call me. I am very supprised!!! the manager calls me, he cant tell me what is going on but suggests something about 26th of Feb for ram from their supplier. I tell him I am comming in for a refund for the faulty goods. The refund for the faulty ram goes smoothly, I am supprised again (even though the guy who served me said he didn't know how to give refunds - he just got the money from the till in the end). So as the saying goes "You pay peanuts you get monkeys" I definatley wont be dealing with these guys again In an industry like their's they have so much competition, to gain an edge they should at least be able to deliver, poor customer service and no communication just doesn't cut it. I usually deal with Starlyte and I will continue to in the future, IMO nobody beats them for customer service and relability. |

dont really want this thread to die..i mean it is advertising my company
Firstly english is a good way to advertise a company..but i did not intend on advertising my company. Only to find out what went wrong to make sure we dont do it again. My english may not be the best because i dont have time to sit and correct every incorrect grammar. Id rather concentrate on making more sales.. In this case - i dont see what your problem is Vert? You got some ram, it was faulty, we were going to replace it but no they had run out of stock. You did not want to wait for a replacement so you want a refund to purchase elsewhere and not another brand we sell. We give you cash because eftpos refunds were not set up at that time. In comparison to other companies which i will not name that i have dealt with in the past - where Dead on Arrivals would always take at least 5 working days to get replaced. And if it had run out of stock then i changed brand I know where our advantages lie, we may not be the most professional shop out there but we do what we know best and make alot of money doing so. We try not to sell the cheapest crappiest brands out there that get RMA'd alot but prefer to sell brands where we dont get returns and push sales of products recommended by reviews/forums/use. How many online retailers can you acutally ring up and get an answer from a reasonably knowledgable person? Who knows a fair bit about the latest products and developments and who is genuinely interested in computers? |
