When people do twisted shit it's a failure on their part, but also a failing of society.
The death penalty is a cop-out in that regard, placing responsibility purely on the individual. Haydos, in the example of the kid getting raped, such violence is often cyclical. If the offender was himself raped as a child, would that enter the equation? There are reasons for people to be the way they are. |

I don't care why they're broken. They're broken. They're now causation of problems for society and should be removed from society forthwith.
Take a black and white view on the world. Why do animals eat their disabled youth, while we pamper ours and attempt to give them "as equal a life as possible" You got touched as a child? I'm sorry for you, but if you go and become a serial offender, ruining lives, you should be put down. |

even dna tests by the fbi previously in the USA, have proven to be incorrect after retesting...

And again, this seems to justify the legal systems errors. "Oh, at least they didn't kill the guy" - no, they sent him away for 15 years where in all likelyhood he was tortured by the prison system and will come out with very little chance for a normal life.
PS, I've never considered DNA irrefuteable evidence. |

Name me a Jew known for their charity.
And as for Russian charity? Chelsea loves the Russians... not many others. |

I'd agree with that. Society is broken. We're in a perpetual circular cycle of keeping people afloat that shouldn't be kept afloat, this in turn leads to issues where families and income are not valued, largely due to the fact that they're given money for no work, no labour.

Who said anything about charity? I was talking about your attitude towards human rights.
Even so, tzedakah is hardly an unknown concept, unless your family were very non-traditional. |
7th October 2008, 12:49 | #3851 |
|
Tzedakah requires involvement with your religion. I'm not a religious person and haven't been since I could talk. In fact, my father who was once heavily involved became less and less so, due to my absolutely skeptical mother.
Also, you'll find that most people practice Tzadekah within their own communities, amongst their peers - not to complete strangers. Very few Jewish people believe in helping people outside the sphere of religion or community, the one trait I have above all others is the highly selfish personality. My ancestory/ethnicity doesn't define me, simply defines the origins from which I came. Last edited by Haydos : 7th October 2008 at 12:54. |

Truecrypt everything, in a hidden partition. Leave a normal looking install in it's place. Perhaps include a collection of My Little Pony pictures.

Then they become as big a burden to society as they would be outside the walls of Prison, due to the cost of each prisoner being more than the average wage in New Zealand.
